If I did not feel that ineptitude ran a tie with malevolence in the Bush years, I would be more frightened by the revelation that all Americans were prey to the prying eyes of the NSA and other intelligence units, all in the name of keeping us safe and sound. As it was and is, it seems Bush had no problem with letting whoever wanted to run rampant as long as the purpose was unconstitutional. W was not as focused as Nixon. Difference between a lazy preppie and a driven Quaker turned witch hunter.
