A note to the Peirce List: What is a genuine triadic relationship?

We would not have a slot here
without a suspicion that triadic philosophy raises
points that segue at certain points with
Peircean thought
I think it is equally clear that the way
this has evolved
makes it a place to sound counterpoints
emendations and supplements
to what is under discussion
For example there is
the idea of a genuine triadic relationship
Triadic philosophy sees such a relationship as
explicitly tied to a root triad
Reality (source of all signs, all thought, everything)
Ethics – Ontological Values which reflect
a universal scale of values from top
to bottom
Aesthetics denoting all
human expression and action
A genuine triadic relationship is
thus a relationship between
A scale of Universal Ontological Values
and Truth And Beauty fused
in an Aesthetic sense that
yields up an
or an action
or both
Note that the the Aesthetic
is seen to embrace the full spectrum
of Good and Evil that
is the basis of the Ethical
and that Reality may be understood
to be the space where
the values which make up
the spectrum are
played out
in the
actions and expressions of
all people
(for clarity – the spectrum is)

From “Advanced Triadic Philosophy”

As Triadic Philosophy Develops it becomes easier to share and to teach. This book can be read with profit by anyone, but if you wish to edge into the subject here is the order you should explore:

Triadic Values Starter Kit

Changing Your Heart and Mind: Triadic Philosophy in A Nut Shell

Three Helpful Habits: DIY to Get Your Life on Track (Triadic Philosophy Book 2)

Triadic Philosophy 100 Aphorisms

There is a tributary to this stream that is what I see as an evolution of the Christian religion from its enclosed institutional forms into the basis for a universal spirituality. This spirituality infuses Triadic Philosophy. It takes its place in this iteration under the heading of Abba’s Way. This is because it employs the name Abba rather than God and because it takes as its basic text The Lord’s Prayer which is, on the basis of Jesus’ advice, addressed to Abba. It rejects Christian messianism which is the premise upon which the religion is based. It affirms the universal values of Jesus and the essential nature of Reality as a creation which is continuous and which has a goal.

Here are some of the works that represent this emphasis, again in an order that moves from a beginning perspective to more advanced material.

Hymns and Songs (Abba’s Way Book 1)

The Lord’s Prayer: Twelve Lines to Make A Revolution (Abba’s Way Book 2)

Is Mitt Romney Today’s Harold Stassen?

Is Mitt Romney Today’s Harold Stassen? #ffrq KU/KOLL

A copious look at the character and behavior of Mitt Romney during his recent losing campaign and a catalogue of warnings regarding his potential to come back again and again until he lulls us into a Reaganesque slumber and then robs the bank as he has robbed the American people, always the smiling family man who would not harm a fly. But don’t be a dog in his company.

Triadic Philosophy is transformative.

Triadic Philosophy is transformative.
Here are some ways.
Continuity is applicable to all realty
so we are all on a trip
Fallibility is our default
so our truths are always tentative
The only way to benefit within reality
is to understand how things are
How things are is that we live in reality
We do not know everything about it
But we do know that we are here for a reason
That reason is implicit in
our capacity to think
Triadic philosophy is a specific mode
of conscious thought
It sees all signs as emerging in reality
It sees a progressive universal ethic
keeping our thinking aimed at truth and beauty
It sees all conscious thought potentially
as leading to expressions and actions
that manifest the encounter of reality and ethics
This is the TRIAD of Triadic Philosophy
When transformation is the ground of being
being itself becomes a ground of healing

Triadic Philosophy – Ethics and Universals

Triadic Philosophy suggests that ethics should be the index, the middle, in conscious considerations. It reserves the term ontological to denote what is universal; in the sense of a teleology. What is universal are good values. They transcend because they are part of what we infer to be reality itself and from our perspective reality is all – what we grasp and what we don’t. What we don’t remains mystery until we plumb it. The presence of ethics in the primary thought process links all thinking to values on the spectrum of what is good and what is not good. When intolerance, unhelpfulness and rights abuses are present, these are values that will be gradually diminished with progress. Ultimately it is truth and beauty to which the good values lead. Triadic Philosophy has little or no credence in academic circles but neither did the figures who are its precursors. Academic philosophy concerns itself with hermeneutics on steroids, as if understanding what a person meant was a prize in a contest. I can think of few to whom this enterprise is less applicable than Peirce. Fact is he was on the mark enough times to render debate about when he thought this or that fatuous. Better some discussion of what a Peircean ethic would look like, That discussion would involve consideration of the following and its possible improvement.

Hierarchy of Good

  1. Being loving and free
  1. Acting and expressing for truth and beauty
  1. Valuing Non-idolatry
  1. Valuing Democracy
  1. Valuing Helpfulness
  1. Valuing Tolerance
  1. Contributing to the community
  1. Being responsible
  1. Critical thinking
  1. Self-respect

Hierarchy of Evil

  1. Thoughtlessness
  1. Selfishness
  1. Judging others
  1. Ganging Up
  1. Excluding
  1. Intolerance
  1. Opposing democracy
  2. Unhelpfulness
  1. Causing injury
  1. Killing
